The Coaches
The coaching staff is constantly improving the Northern Colorado Orcas Artistic Swimming program. All of our coaches are certified coaches with USA Artistic Swimming. The coaching staff are all background checked, CPR/First Aid certified, and Safesport Certified. They have access to the most comprehensive training and certification programs offered through USA Artistic Swimming.
Coach Anya
Anya Wiens swam for NCO Synchro for 12 years before heading off to college at Colorado School of Mines to study Mechanical Engineering. Anya has been coaching the orcas for since 2020 working with the novice, intermediate, age group and master teams.
Coach Erica
Erica began her synchro career 20 years ago with the Village Green Summer Synchro team (now Fort Collins Synchro) where she fell in love with the sport. Following that first summer, she joined the Northern Colorado Orcas where she swam for the next 9 years. In her final years of high school, she started coaching for VG and the Orcas. During college, Erica swam for William and Mary where she served as team captain and took home gold for Figures at Collegiate Nationals. Nowadays you’ll find her competing with our Master’s team, judging meets in our association, and sharing her love of the sport.
